The StoneCutter is a modern, aggressive double-cutaway guitar designed specifically for the needs of the rock and metal player. The entire aesthetic theme seamlessly transitions smooth curves with sharp points, accented by the prominent body horns and headstock barb.

MATHAS SERPENTINE HEADSTOCK

The unique and original Mathas serpentine headstock leads the StoneCutter into battle.  It's simultaneously a piece of sophisticated art combined with lethal force potential.

REINFORCED SET-THRU NECK

All Mathas Guitars' necks are reinforced with twin (2) carbon fiber rods which bookend the dual-action truss rod, for maximum stability and low-maintenance longevity.  The set-thru construction, with carved heel and deep horn cutaways provides advanced ergonomics for ultimate comfort and functional access to all 24 frets. Plus, the extended belly carve on the back provides ultimate comfort and fit and for all body types and sizes, while complementing the neck heel carve beautifully.

PREMIUM ELEMENTS

The StoneCutter features a 3-piece mahogany neck and mahogany body, topped with quilted maple veneer.  A pair of time-tested, Seymour Duncan humbuckers, "Custom 5" (Bridge) and "Jazz" (Neck) deliver the versatile range to achieve everything from high-gain and hard rock.  You can even find tone for blues and more if, and when, the need arises.  A 5-way blade switch offers endless tonal possibilities. Independent volume controls for each pickup provides great control, to roll off volume and enables excellent blending opportunities with both pickups engaged.

The Floyd Rose Original double-locking tremolo bridge stays in tune even with the most heavy-handed, vicious dive-bombing. White binding adds an elegant framing effect to the body, neck and headstock. Glow in the dark, Luminlay side dots guide your way in low light situations ranging from arenas to clubs to your bedroom.

SPEED and COMFORT NECK PROFILE

An ebony fingerboard, 24 jumbo nickel/silver frets and "C" shape profile are ideal for for speed and comfort whether you're wailing blistering leads or bludgeoning rumbling rhythms.  The fretboard comes to life with the famous Mathas "Flight" logo surrounded by small versions of our split stone inlays.
